When I first moved to Melbourne in January 1977, I lived in an appartment at 4 Parkside Street, Elsternwick VIC 3185 with a colleague who also worked at BHP Head Office.

Flat 8, 34 Elizabeth Street, Elsternwick VIC 3185.

In January 1978, I moved into a sharing situation at Flat 8, 34 Elizabeth Street, Elsterwick VIC 3185. My bedroom window overlooked the ABC Gordon Street TV Studios. Over the years there would be two, and then one other in the flat, until eventually I had it to myself.

Kew, Victoria

In June 1986, I moved from Elsternwick into a home in Adeney Avenue, Kew VIC 3101.

Glenaroua, Victoria
An Australian Bush Retreat

From March 1990 until October 2005, I lived in a self-designed, mud brick house at 560 Kilmore-Glenaroua Road, Glenaroua VIC 3764 (north of Melbourne and just north of Kilmore). The house was set on 33 hectares (82 acres) of native Australian flora and fauna habitat. Yes, there are kangaroos in the back yard! Plus plenty of animal friends and native wildlife. But no pet cats, only feral ones!

My home situation was unique. Perhaps you'd like to know more:

Cranbourne North, Victoria
Living in the Outer South Eastern Suburbs

From October 2005 until April 2012 I lived at 35 Coutenay Avenue, Cranbourne North VIC 3977 in the outer south eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

I ended up buying the place. Set on a corner block, it had secure undercover parking for the dive boat, and a double garage. A large wooden workbench was added to the garage in October 2008.

Frankston South, Victoria

In April 2012 I moved to 14 Sheoak Road, Frankston South VIC 3977, a bayside suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

It was a great setup on a corner block, with a swimming pool, billiards room, a four car garage which I setup as a men's shed workshop, plus undercover parking in front of the workshop for the camper van, and the dive boat.

The Mornington Peninsula, Victoria

5 Sherwood Ave, Rosebud VIC 3939.

In June 2016, I moved to 5 Sherwood Ave, Rosebud VIC 3939, on the Mornington Peninsula. There was a carport for the car, parking out the back for the dive boat, and a large double garage for storage. Nearly two years later, the landlord announced he was going to build a unit in the back yard, so it was time to move.

In May 2018, I moved to 13 Pearse Road, Blairgowrie VIC 3942. Nearly two years later, the landlord announced he wanted to downsize his mother into the place, so it was time to move again.

In April 2020 I moved to 7 Cosgrove Street, Rye VIC 3941.

Moss Vale, New South Wales

On 18-19 July 2025, I moved to Unit 5, 58 Elizabeth Street, Moss Vale NSW 2577. The move was to be closer to family in Bowral and Sydney.
