| Private trip organised directly with: Ocean Blue Adventures -- https://www.oceanblue.co.nz/ Diving from the MV Mazurka (meaning dance on the water), heading out to the Poor Knights Islands from Tutukaka Marina. Mazurka has a length of 14 metres (45 feet), a beam of 4.3 metres (14 feet), and a cruising speed of 8 knots. She is a steel launch with comfortable accommodation for six guests, a spacious saloon and a well-equipped galley. I took a 3-day liveaboard trip, completing six dives. The passengers aboard were a couple from Ireland diving as a buddy pair, plus a Divemaster up from Auckland diving with a lady who had just passed her Open Water course the weekend prior, and me. The crew consisted of Kevin Delonge, the boat owner, and Jef, who served as the divemaster and chef. |
