| Easter 2009 VSAG dive club trip -- https://www.vsag.org.au In preparation for this trip to dive at Wilsons Promontory, I purchased a large tent and lots of camping gear. I erected the tent in my front yard to 'season' it. John Lawer helped me with this, and it started to rain just as we finished. Over the next few days, the weather went from rainy to sunny, perfect for seasoning the tent. My trailer and car were fully loaded with dive gear and camping gear. John Lawler, towing his dive boat, "Miles Ahead", arrived and helped me take down the tent and pack my trailer with the dive and camping gear. We then drove down to Wilsons Promontory together, arrived, and JL and Alan Storen helped me to put up the tent. The tent so impressed everyone that it was christened the "Taj Ma Tent". I awoke the next morning to find that someone had put an "L" plate on the front of the tent. However, after a few nights, they changed it to a "P" plate. At the end of the long weekend, JL and Alan helped me take the tent down, and JL and I drove back to Melbourne in convoy again. |
