Comments:
Entry/Exit: Best from the landing that is near the end as its a long pier and the water is shallow in close to the shore. You could snorkel out the first 40 metres as this is a snorkeling trail with plaques on the side of the pier. But there is a sand reef that typically has to be walked over.

An L-shaped pier approximately 500 metres (1640 feet) long. Built about 1860 to service the lime trade. Points approximately NNE and hence is not diveable when strong northerly winds prevail.

The shallow slope out from the beach means the best diving is at the end of the pier - entry from the low landing about 50 metres (165 feet) from the end.

Sandy bottom on both sides with some seagrass. Most life is under the pier. Abundance of big-bellied seahorses plus plenty of other life to be seen.

Best dived at slack water as the currents make it difficult to spend time looking around when you have to constantly navigate the pilons. All the good life is under the pier with just sand to either side.

An excellent and very popular night diving spot. Close to Melbourne with very easy access from the car park, the only down side is it is a 150 metre (490 feet) walk along the peir to get to the lower pier area where the good diving is.

At night there are lots of squid, blue rings, seahorse, nudis, seadragons etc. It is easy to spend an hour at night swimming around a small area observing the night aquatic life.

Parking: Free parking after 8pm around 20 meters from pier with some light over your car. Ticket parking during the day.
