Uggg.... Very frustrating.
Very satisfying getting the answer, though.
Interesting puzzle as it takes creative thinking when numbers are involved, which isn't normal...

Very nice puzzle.
It really shows how different people look at their problems differently.

I started keeping statistics but couldn't work it out for almost an hour.
Then, I thought of the name again and noticed that it was always even number!!
And it hit me.

I usually give up on these sorts of things very quickly. It was perhaps lucky then that I got it in about 10 minutes. I felt that the gates story put an emphasis on the hint that was most useful.
Good puzzle.
Now I'm going to google to see if there is any deviants out there giving it away.

This took me a whole morning. While I got it in 11 tries, there were many exceedingly complex equations entered into Excel before the simplicity of it all struck me. Absolutely brilliant.

I struggled over a piece of paper all day (well, when I could get away with skiving off work), rolled at least 50 times and wrote down all the numbers, tried addition, multiplication frequency analyses etc... until I went back to the "Bill Gates story" and looked at the dice again... and I solved it in 5 minutes. <sigh>
I wouldn't have gotten to sleep tonight if I hadn't finally figured it out...
