This is a great puzzle, which I'm recommending to friends and teachers. I solved it in seventeen minutes, focusing on letting my mind fly along, testing one hypothesis after another. A fun mental experience.

The first time I ran across this puzzle, I gave up. This morning, I got it again. I ended up looking for patterns and similarities. The answer hit me on the 4th try. What a rush!

I went through several dozen guesses before I realized that my 4-year old was making better guesses than me, and then the answer came pretty quickly....

I solved it numerically, but didn't understand the meaning of the name until I googled around a bit. Nice puzzle.

Didn't solve it yesterday - tried the usual math algorithms - then woke up thinking the name might mean something. Solved in 2 minutes.

was ready for a forehead-slapping revelation, but turned out my first instinct was correct and there was never a counter-example, so my solution time was perhaps 5 seconds, tho it took a minute or two to confirm that... I have had other simple problems stump me for quite a while, just not this one...
