Well... A friend of mine showed me this website and asked if I could solve it in 5 mins. I thought like hey... I can do it in 3. However, I was wrong... I spent about 1/2 an hour on that page before solving it... I must admit that it is a delightful puzzle.

Being a huge fan of Kakuro and Sudoku, I love a number challenge. But I quickly found out it it isn't about numbers but how we interpret words and visualize the world around us. A great puzzle.

I created a spreadsheet and had recorded 20 rolls of the dice and the corresponding answer, looking for patterns including the sum, median, average, high/low values, etc. The only progress I made was that I noticed that each answer was an even number. Then I went back and rolled a few more without recording or analyzing the result and it hit me. Actually, I'm quite surprised I got it that quickly.

I spent 20 minutes trying to work it out quantitatively. Then I wiped everything and pretended it was a second-grade game, and got it within 10 rolls.

Got it in 5 minutes. A good lesson in keeping it simple. Having recently helped my daughter with pattern recognition in math homework helped.

One of my favorite tokens I received at a renaissance festival was a disk with “TO IT” written on it.......
A ROUND TO IT.
