Boat Name: Oceanic Explorer, Dive Victoria, Portsea

Benita and I headed down to Portsea for a 9:15 am departure to Castle Rock, stopping in to get air fills at The Scuba Doctor on the way.

Boat went over to Quuenscliff to pick up some more divers and then out through the heads. Bob was giving a new boat driver some orientation. Michelle ahd a new deck hand to show the ropes to.

Arrived on location to find two jet skis tied to each other with a divers flag being flown. Saw two people in the water either snorkelling or freediveing.

Benita and I were in around the middle of the group and descended down the shot line. We proceeeded around the base of the rock in a clockwide direction, starting on the southern side.

Lots of great stuff to see. Once we'd done a loop around, we went up on top of the rock to have a good look around. Just quiently let ourselves be pulled and pushed around by the surge.

When I told Benita I was down to 100 bar, we went back down to the base of the rock to check out some of the underhangs again. Benita saw a large cuttlefish, but I didn't.

Once we were at 70 bar we headded up the shot line and did a safety stop at 5m.

Another great dive together.
