Second dive with the Victorian Sub-Aqua Group (VSAG) on their "New Diver Day".

We joined back up with the boat at Rye Boat Ramp and headed out for the scallop dive.

This dive was a drift dive to enable enough ground to be covered to fill the catch bag with great big fat juicy scallops. Greg Richards was going to show Peter Briggs and myself how it was done.

While we were able to get some scallops, they weren't as plentiful as I'm told they usually are.

The dive site itself is out from Arthurs Seat. The bottom is flat sand with scallops, stingrays, sea squirts, flat head and large spider crabs. Not too far away from a large marker pylon with "13" on it and a structure of pylons with seals.

After the scallop drift dive, Mick took us over to a nearby shipping marker platform and Peter and I went back in for a snorkel with the seals.
