Alan Beckhurst had a report of a crack in the superstructure of the HMAS Canberra. We were on a mission to try and find it, which was going to be difficult given the lack of description as to where it was and the poor visibility. Alan also wanted to measure the list of the wreck.

While gearing up the crew came around and asked me to do the usual safety checks: breathe from eack regulator, inflator working. I reported my air pressure at 255 bar. The guy next to me asked, "Is that a 300 bar cylinder?"

"Nope," I replied.

"Gee, I'm lucky if I get a 200 bar fill," he stated.

"Going to the wrong place for air fills," I suggested. "Try The Scuba Doctor in Rye next time. $5 for good air fills."

Mike, Alan and myself headed down and started to check out the port and starboard superstructure. We didn't find the crack we were looking for.

We then headed to the rear of the startboard hanger where Alan measured the list. Then we journeyed through the wreck back to the bridge and started our ascent.

Back onboard Sea Drafon, Alan and Jason worked out the list as being 23 degrees to starboard.

Once everyone was back the boat headed back to Portsea. Once changed, I headed back to The Scuba Doctor for air fills.
