Benita and I headed down to The Scuba Doctor where I switched to my twin cylinder setup with an EAN34 mix. From there we headed down to Portsea where met up with Mick and Liz. We geared up and headed over to Dive Victoria to check in. I met Tim Norton (Oakton) out walking his dogs and we had a chat before having to rush off to catch the dive boat.

I was using my new Aussie Trolleys, Courier Trunk Trolley for the first time and it was simply great. A huge improvement on the old trolley.

Once onboard the dive boat we headed out to Portsea Hole where we had quite a wait for slack water.

Once we got the go to get in the water, the other three got in and then the boat repositioned. By the time I was in they had drifted to the buoy. We started to descend, but Liz had equalisation problems and went back to the surface with Mick. Benita and I waited for them to join us. Eventually they came down to us and we descended together without the shot line and then found the wall.

We started to progress slowly along the wall. Then Mick and Liz went deeper, and I stayed closer to the top of the wall with Benita. She was having a great time taking photos. I spotted a few things for her but she was the one to find the Cuttlefish.

We turned around and headed back along the top of the wall. Eventually Benita called the dive and we ascended to 5-6 metres where I shot my DSMB. We did our safety stop, surfaced and got on the boat.

Once everyone was back on board we went back to Portsea Pier where we decided to do a dive out onto the reef to blow off the rest of our air.
