ANZAC Day 2008 VSAG dive club trip -- https://www.vsag.org.au -- to dive Jervis Bay, NSW, Australia from the Ocean Trek Diving Resort -- https://www.oceantrek.com.au -- liveaboard dive boat.

VSAG combined with Get Under for a trip to Jervis Bay for the ANZAC long weekend. Ten members from VSAG and seven from GetUnder enjoyed the hospitality of OceanTrek liveaboard from Thursday night to Sunday morning. Very good diving.

Those on the trip from VSAG were: Alan Storen, AJ Storen, Jackie Storen, Kathy Pedlow, Benita McDonough, Darren Pearce, Tom Hill, James Hill, Trevor Williams, and myself.

Those from GetUnder included: Alan Beckhurst, Mary Malloy, Ron Clifft, Mark Green, Adrian Klopp, Ian Fox,

After a quick meal at the Jervis Bay RSL on arrival, we assembled a massive pile of gear on Huskisson Pier at 9 p.m. as arranged, only to find no Ocean Trek to board and rain coming down thick and fast. A small tender finally arrived once Alan called. Let's just say ot was interesting boarding Ocean Trek tank by tank, dive box by dive box into a heavily laden small tender.

Three nights aboard Ocean Trek, a catamaran-style vessel, 18 metres in length, sleeps 23, providing three sit-down meals a day plus morning and arvo tea served on the deck after each dive (hot homemade sausage rolls, cake, muffins after diving). The caring cook even hand-delivered a cuppa as per your specification after each dive.

The crew consisted of Captain Mick Saliwon and his wife Lyn Cleary, two tank fill/deck hands, and a cook big on personality (affectionately known as 'Teabag').
