| The Chowder Bay / Clifton Gardens dive site is located right outside the Plunge Diving shop in Mosman, New South Wales. The location, conditions and environment make it an excellent dive training location. The macro life to be found also make it a very interesting shore dive for those prepared to slow down and look carefully at everything. Entry/Exit: To enter, simply walk down the wharf and jump in from the steps or simply walk in from the Clifton Gardens beach. Exit is usually via the beach. Marine life at this site includes anglerfish, cuttlefish, lined-dumpling squid, prickly and pygmy leatherjacket, mosaic moray, crabs and octopus as well as the usual array of temperate fish life. This is supposed to be one of Sydney's best night dives and although I've only dived there by day, I can understand why this might be so. Location GPS coordinates from Google Earth.
