| Merimbula Bay is located on the Far South Coast or Sapphire Coast of New South Wales, Australia. The town of Merimbula is at the northern end of the bay, with Pambula Beach at the southern end. Merimbula Bay is almost equidistant from Sydney and Melbourne and about a three hour drive from Canberra. The town of Merimbula is blessed with beautiful beaches and a hinterland of outstanding forests. Pambula Beach is a small coastal town in New South Wales, Australia south of Merimbula. It is a nice peaceful township well known for its friendly kangaroos which are found in almost every front- and backyard. The Holiday Hub tourist park, where we stayed, is one of the major attractions for the township. We tagged along on a shore dive at Merimbula Wharf run by Merrimbula Divers Lodge.
