| The Merimbula Wharf is located at the end of Lake Street, Merimbula, on the northern side of Merimbula Bay. It is a shore dive on rock reef with plenty of fish life. The Merimbula Wharf Restaurant and Aquarium is located in the building you find at Merimbula Wharf and there is a decent car parking area. You need to park as close to the southern end of the lower road as you can. When you get out of your car, look over the wall ahead and you will see the entry and exit point. To your left you will see a small gap between the wall and building. At the end there is a couple of steps. This gives access over the wall to the rock platform. It is an easy walk across the rock to the small point that you will see from the wharf area. This dive site is not for when southerly seas or winds are up, but is especially good when north-easterlies are blowing. Merimbula Wharf is a very popular fishing spot. Divers should respect the right of others to use the wharf and should give fishermen plenty of space. Octopus, nudibranchs, shrimp, blue and brown grouper, moray eels, crabs, box fish, and plenty of schooling pelagics can be seen at this dive site. Bull rays can sometimes be found cruising under the wharf. Water temperature ranges from 12° to 20° C. The Merimbula Wharf Restaurant and Aquarium ia great place to enjoy a meal between dives, or after diving.
