I solved the puzzle in about 20 tries. The interesting part of it was refining the strategy until something held.

I want to introduce the game to my friends, so I made a flash version of the game:

I got it after the second try... didnt know the "answers are always even" part either.. the name itself tells you.. but what i did was count the total of every die.. and then subtract the answer that the machine gave you.. and then used logic.. big grin

I just visualized rather than using problem-solving. There it was.

Nice, I first saw this puzzle on another page, and it didn't tell you the name was significant, but once I saw that, I figured it out right away. I didn't even need the "the answer is always even" clue smile

It took me about an hour and a half to figure this thing out. It was a little frustrating but when I calmed down I got it. Has anyone ever gotten 20 petals? I also heard that there was a second way of solving this puzzle, has anyone else?
