3 hours, no paper or pencil, no hints, and it's 4:19 in the f-ing morning. But hey, at least I got it. Would've taken a lot longer if it hadn't been for the subtle hints in the instructions.

Really freakin' simple. Just think about what the rose is and you've got it.

This was frustrating. It took me an hour.
I think the reason why smart people take a long time to figure it out, is because they tend to think about a solution in a difficult manner.
Computer Engineers never check for a disconnected powercord when examining a malfunctioning computer... it's too simple.

Got it on the first try. I wish I hadn't, but I've subscribed to K.I.S.S. for too long.

I'll see how my friends do....

Infuriatingly simple once you realize what's going on. Someone posted something about a mathematical algorithim that worked 100% for petals, i'm curious as to the veracity of that claim.

The name of the game was hard to figure out - with regards to how it would help. I was inclined to pay attention to the outside dots, so it took a while to ignore the ones I did not need

Took me around 1-2 hours. As soon as I saw this I started trying to find a logical mathematical explanation, when all you have to do is read the title. I think this is one of the things that tests how you can fully interpret everything you hear or understand, because as soon as I re-read your brief statement about "the name is important" I got the answer.
