We do this each year at a high school leadership camp I work at. It still amazes me when I recall how long iot took me to get it, and now I am an "instructor guru..."

Are you guys all just stupid or what. I've never heard of this game before and found a link from collegehumor.com. I correctly solved it on the first try. The lack of peoples ability to solve this sign that our society is going to hell in a hand basket.

"I correctly solved it on the first try". Uh, no you didn't. It's obvious that you have not figured this puzzle out yet

Perhaps you should spend a little more time studying grammar and a little less time ranting about the shortcomings of scoiety.

I've always loved little riddles like these. Took about 5 minutes, but I'll enjoy sharing this with friends when we next get together.

30 minutes. I started out like most, with overanalytical crap. I should say that I tried to figure it out from your example rolls from the Bill Gates page for the first 10 or 15 minutes, and then spent the rest of that time rolling them myself at http://crux.baker.edu/cdavis09/roses.html
I went through maybe 20 rolls there before I deleted my notes and just started staring at the dice mindlessly. And then, boom. There it was.
The faster one figures this game out, the less likely they are to get the satori-feeling when they finally do figure it out.
For those who are proud to have seen it so fast: You've missed out on something.
For those that haven't figured it out after a considerable time: It will be worth it.
