One of the guys in my IRC channel posted a link to the Rose "riddle" (I still don't like his using this term to describe it, but about the only better thing I can call it is a puzzle). He said he did it in 10 minutes, the next guy in 8, I did it in 4 or 5, and another said he understood it the first try (Though I contend that simply due to the nature of the problem, it is impossible to truly know, without a doubt, the answer on one try).

Good fun. Good way to test out some of your creativity or at the very least, your ability to hold many sets of data and many solutions in your head at the same time. =)

tried a few guesses and then read the Bill Gates story, then went back and tried again, and got it. I definately tried to think too hard about it. Love it!

Just insurance salesman here, but with a very high IQ took me about 7 or so minutes to figure (actually needed only 4min took 3min break to ease the mind). Great fun will pass to my tech buddies from college.

Great fun, I have shared it with my faculty. It is truly amazing and interesting to watch their brains at work. You made my day.

As a former MENSA member, I feared a long effort; it took me ten minutes. Hopefully, that reflects my practicality. Good fun!

Took a while but I finally got it; this was a very annoying problem and coming to the solution didn't really provide the sense of accomplishment I was anticipating.

I thought it was impossible to figure out - for about 20 minutes. Then came the light.... makes you feel silly for not seeing it immediately.

Interesting, but not difficult. I got it on the 4th roll. I first used logic, not math.
