Hi, I joined the fraternity 10-24-86 at a Retreat at Camp Christian. I just found my dice and decided to see if the game was still around and on line. I got my card from Camille Newlon.

I took about 2 hours to solve it. I was starting to get obsessive when I finally figurate it out. I've made a list and separate in categories like two pares three of a kind, sequences, all different, poker, four of a kind and I even got a five of a kind(1 1 1 1 1=0). Then I started to notice that the results were significantly different when some patterns appear. A little more thinking outside the box and voilá, here I am!
Message for the Brazilian guys:

Took me about eight minutes. I believe it's easier for visual learners or people who tend towards symbolizing things (the type of people who would get caught up trying to figure out why the game is called Petals Around the Rose), which may be why some say that the puzzle is more difficult for "smarter" people.

My brother sent it to me wanting me to help him with it, took me a while, maybe twenty minutes, but now I've got it and he hasn't and I'm not letting on... let him stew ;)

Finally! cool

Now I finally understand why everyone who's figured it out looks smug and pleased with themselves! big grin

I just emailed it to the guys in our College. There are now about 1300 members of staff simultaniously going #@*%! because they can't get it and about 5 so far chuckling smugly!

The BG story was amusing. Didn't spot that til after I'd solved it though.. probably would have helped me on the way
