I was introduced to this puzzle some months ago and for reasons unknown decided to take another look today -- and the solution just hit me! Woo-hoo! And what are the odds that 2 guys named Jason, both in Roswell, GA, just happened to solve this on the same day??? eek!

I recognized this as the first part of the "Polar Bear" puzzle, which has two more tiers to it. Nice article!
