Took me blleding ages to solve! tried forula after formula, ten recived the hint that only one mathematical funtion is necessary, and again, after method after method i failed, then suddenly, it hit me! the amount of time i wasted on this thing :P

Thanks to Head Potentate Simo and Quick-Mind Potentate Glenn, I was encouraged to try to solve this. I found #@*%!crux.baker.edu/cdavis09/roses.html most helpful, as it gave example after example of petals around the rose.
