Interesting game. The only winning move is... not to play.
How about a nice game of chess?
I wasted about 10 mins on this puzzle. I think I have the answer because the webpage told me so, but I wouldn't be my life on my heuristic
...
Huh! I went back and spent 5 more mins, and now I completely understand. Simple game

Arg! After reading through the Bill.G article, most of these forum posts and working on every mathimatical variation for applying the name of the puzzle to the dice I finally "clicked" while reading one post. The answer was actually a bit of a let down, I was hoping it was going to be more complicated than that!

Amazing how you can tie your head in knots over the simplest of things.
I tried polynomial expansions, strange sequences of operators, counting between primes, adding together digits, etc. All to no avail.
It's amazing how you can look so hard and not see what is plainly in view.
Long live the Rose!

Got it after two failed attempts, but I think the intro to the game gives away too many hints. It probably would've taken longer if I hadn't had the help of knowing that the name of the game was so directly related to the answer of the puzzle.
