I began as completely confused. Ten or so minutes later the fog cleared and I'd figured it out. Probably a completely different way than most, but it worked. ;)

I found the article about Bill G. and the Petals Around the Rose yesterday. I figured it out before I finished the article. A very clever little game.
I will, of course, pass the game (but not the solution) along to others.

It took me half an hour to create an Excel sheet that solves the puzzle.
It took Lady Foole five minutes. Her approach was to "look at the petals around the rose."
Sure, anybody can do it the *easy* way.
Grrrrr.

The larger the sample size (n) the more confident you can be that your sample mean is a good representation of the population mean. In other words, the "n" justifies the means.

Tried it once at 2 in the morning, left to play Metal Gear 3. Came back next day and got it in -1 second.

I figured it out right away. That is supposed to mean I'm not with the "smarter" people. However, I've always been a great puzzle solver. Just think of the rose!
