It took me hours to figure it out lol

First I tried using equations to get it, but that didn't work. Afterwards I gave up on the equations and started looking for patterns, but I was stumped every time the answer was 0. Finally got it though lol smile

I was going nowhere, spent about 10 minutes staring at the game, then read the account of Bill Gates. As soon as I read "The name of the game is Petals Around the Rose, and that name is significant" it hit me. And then I got it right away. And yes, I realize that's on the game instructions, but it didn't click until the second time.

It took me 3 hours to solve this problem. I knew the solutions relied entirely upon the odd numbers, the more, the higher the answer, and the less the lower the answer. The only part which threw me off was of course the answer 0, but that's because of the face 1. I didn't even understand how the answer relates to a rose until I asked a friend and he explained it.
