| Diving the the Darwin and Wolf Islands of the Galapagos Islands on board Humbold Explorer allows you to experience a world of beauty, wonder and marine life. You will probably see sea lions, turtles, hammerhead sharks, white tip sharks, dolphins, manta rays, Galapagos sharks, and huge schools of eagle and golden Rays. Maybe even whale sharks. Humbold Explorer accommodates 16 passengers in 8 comfortable double cabins with full-size twin beds that can be converted to queen beds. All cabins have an ocean view, air-conditioning, hot water and TV/DVD. Though I'm not sure you'd be able to hear the TV/DVD over the noise of the engines. I couldn't. With 16 divers onboard, the boat's dive deck, RIBs, saloon and dining area are too crowded. It would be much better with just 12 divers. For such a highly priced, supposedly luxurious, liveaboard trip, the crowding, noise from the vessel's engines, compressors and generators, plus the very ordinary food, leaves a lot to be desired. This made my onboard experience the worst of the liveaboards I've been on. Thankfully the diving at the Darwin and Wolf Islands is simply amazing and makes up for everything else. |
