I saw this problem in a form of a poem -
Polar Bears, they come in pairs.
They sit around the holes in the ice like petals on a flower.

A year ago I saw the petals puzzle and tried to solve it.  I totally forgot it until last week:
A puzzle brought up by my collegues reminds me to the petals around the rose. It took me some time but finally there was the brain wave
