Got it after my first try! I was expecting the worse, but the secret was hidden in plain sight. Maybe having read Da Vinci's Code helped put me in the appropriate mindset...

Took me about 50 rolls of the dice. But actually I found an algorithm, didn't use the info about the name of the game (now, two weeks later, I know the non-algorithmic way to solve the problem).

Nice little puzzle. Got the first roll wrong, though about it a few seconds, then had it nailed. I can see how it drives people a bit crazy if they're too formula oriented.
