took me alot of rolls but i had a person presenting it to me and he gave hints in the form of taking away dice and telling the new totals

Hi,
I struggled for about 3 hours and gave up. The next day as my daughter was asking one of our friends to crack it ( she had done it earlier) the penny dropped. I was able to define the problem correctly. Once that was done, I could do it any number of times correctly.

My very first guess for the rule worked. After guessing the correct value for all 10 rolls I tried, I got bored with game. I think the name "petals around the rose" easily gave the rule away before I even starting rolling.

Took me 45 mins and over 100 rolls to get it, but I got it without working out the title significane. I had to have that explained to me by another Potentate
