Haha i tried all these things at first, like counting how many dots were in the top row or in the middle or on the bottom and eventually gave up. Then at school, my friend told me, "I figured it out!!! It's so obvious and simple!" So I went home and tried it again for a few minutes, before I reread the question. How many petals are around the rose? Then it hit. eek! smile cool yayuh

if you're a Computer Science Major, why did it take a while?? It took me less than 3 minutes to get it, and I am also a Computer Science Major... I guess some people are just quicker than others...

Don't be cruel Log2. To be fair the name is misleading. What kind of rose has two or four petals?

Oh man was I overthinking this. I showed this to my wife and she said "oh I solved this in grade school!"

I asked for a hint and all she would say was "the name of the game is....." grrrrr

Then it hit me! The answer was right there in front of me!

Long live the petals!

I've been thinking too hard, and then realizing the name petals "around" the rose, suddenly everything becomes so clear!
