We did this in my ToK class (part of the IB <ibo.org> curriculum), and we all (10) got it within the 40 minute period. I got it in about 20 minutes, after noticing one specific roll with certain spacial properties.

I was able to break the "code" on the third attempt, say inside one minute. An exercise in applied lateral thinking......must be a dummy.
