This was awesome! Took a few times cycling through to pick up the pattern but I got it in the end. I think I was looking for something more complicated when in fact it was remarkably sensible and not that convoluted at all. Thanks!

I got it the first time. I'm a pretty visual thinker, and a mediocre artist. My sister told me the title of the game, and I immediately visualized a game involving a rose and its petals.

thanks so much for the fraternity of the petals around the rose bit. Im sure this game will be marvelously amusing at parties in the future.
Oh and the story about Uncle Bills introduction to the game was absolutely uproarious.

It was Soooo simple after trying to work on algorhythms and more complicated ideas i kept refocussing on the name Petals AROUND the rose until I got it......great puzzle took about 15 minutes to solve.
