I re-joined my classmates after a long time of 15 years in a Yahoo group, and when I was catching up with some of the older messages I found this puzzle. I am a puzzle fan and cant resist them, so I try it out. Voila ... i get it in the second roll. Now I am not sure how smart an idiot I am

its took me about 3 dozen rolls before i saw the pattern, but i still dont get what it has to do with the title, but i guess if i new more about roses it would be clearer

Early this morning (at 2 a.m.), I rolled about 10 times and got partly there, but not quite all the way.
This afternoon, I got it on 4 or 5 throws.
