I spent 3 hours on this and my friend got it in two minutes. Ugh.

My friend Bill emailed me this and I figured if it took him three hours, I'd be on it for days. Wrong. Once I reread the intructions and thought of them literally, it came quite fast. 20 minutes at best.

It took me about 3 hours total BUT I had to take a break then came back & solved it! It was a good thing, too, otherwise I would have never slept until I got it!

After a few hours looking at dice colours and dice orders and dice numbers and trying one math scheme after another... all to no avail... it just clicked!

Almost an hour using spread sheets, and then the significance of the Bill Gates story dawned on me!

The Bill Gates story really helped me. And also reading reviews that say how easy it was. Then you know it has to be easy.

After trying various mathmatical solutions, I came to the problem anew the following day. I re-read the title of the game, thought about it, and all was revealed.

I've always been an overthinker, but just as I was about to throw this in the wind as just another silly game...after just a couple of minutes...I figured out how amazing and simple it actually is. Have to love the simplicity!

Beat my head against it for a long time, left it, then came back months later, and it was obvious.

Jesus... That took forever... I actually saw this a year ago and couldn't get it then, either. I gave up. This time I read a bunch of hints and finally, finally, after writing columns for 2, 4, 6, and 8, and the corresponding patterns that fit, figured it out. Holy hell.
