Definitely helps when you think about a rose (or any flower I suppose) and the basic premise there's not some difficult math calculation.

Thanks for putting this site up. I went through about 200 rows of excel number-crunching before figuring out a numerical equivalent to the "other" very neat answer. If anyone is curious, after all of that work I'd be happy to share. I never did have that aha! moment, but...I got it nonetheless.

Great fun! It took me less than three minutes after counting the dots, etc. Then I thought, "Hmmm, petals around the rose..."
