Thanks so much for running this site! I've been a Potentate since college. A "friend" stupefied me for weeks with this puzzle, and I put it out of my mind to stop teh suffering. I saw a Games magazine article several months later, and figured it out when I could see several rolls at once.

Don't know what brought it to mind, but I googled it and found you. I'm so glad people still play this! Good luck to you!

I'm either mentally handicapped or just to much of a thinker. Took a whole weekend in my jams to figure out. Thank goodness I have free weekends on my cell phone.

wow. after one sleepless night, i finally got it. petals huh? haha

I've been doing this for years for my students at school and this was the first time one of them told me they found the answer on the computer. I was totally bummed!

i felt so stupid when i finally got the answer. i first thought about the dice's colors and that "petals around the rose" had 19 letters

Finally >.< when i started playing this, I kept repeating "Petals around the Rose has 19 letters" in my head. I now feel so stupid for not seeing the significance of petals from the start.
