Took me about 20 minutes total, pretty easy once you try getting those crazy formulas out of your head (ie. two times the average of the two largest numbers minus two) I'm glad I got it before I was too tempted to cheat.

I told a smart friend of mine about this puzzle and he solves it quite quickly. When he told me about his son of 8 that also solved it, I had to solve it too...
