Already knew this puzzle by 'Polar Bears around the Ice Hole'. There's a variant including 'seals in the ice hole. E.g. 4-1-6-3-6 result is 6. 3-5-1-1-2 is 12. Try it!!!

It's Jude's fault, that saucy wench! It took me more than moments, but as soon as I got it, I wanted to hit myself....
The name of the game is significant.
Indeed.

Someone pointed me at this page and I solved it in moments, surprisingly myself. Possibly I was well-primed, having recently read (and solved the puzzles in) _How Would You Move Mt. Fuji?_. Fun stuff. :-

Woohoo! It took about an hour to get it, I tried multiple mathematic formulæ for it but then I realized that if one really can see it from a short glimpse, one doesn't actually need to calculate anything big.
The name helped quite a bit and when they were all threes I got the formula and felt happy.

Petals around the rose is the name of the game, and that is significant.

I was stumped for ages, then I remembered this puzzle from years ago, when it was called "Polar Bears Around an Ice Hole". Then I got it straight away. The Sixes are different, though.
