Divemaster: Suki, Tulamben Wreck Divers

Benita, Peter, Suki and I kitted up and made our way down to the beach where two village jukangs awaited us. Benita and I climbed into one and Peter and Suki in the other. We were taken in the jukangs out past Tulamben Drop-off, down past Butu Kelebit (rock), around Tanjung Muntik (cape) and onto the beach at Seraya. We then climbed into our gear and headed out for a shore muck dive.

Suki had problems with a leaking pressure gauge. He switched to Peter's occy, shut down his own cylinder, adjusted the gauge and turned his cylinder back on. Problem fixed, we headed out for the dive, heading east from the front of the resort.

The bottom was mostly black muck with coral island outcrops. Suki continually found the most amazing assortment of critters for us to see. Adult lionship, juvenile lionfish, garden eels, and much, much more. For me this was the best dive so far.

When the dive finished we waited on the beach to off gas.
