1st Drift Dive
Boat: Dive Victoria, Portsea

Hired BCD and Faber 15 litre steel tank from Dive Victoria, Portsea.

Shared air with Benita for some of the dive.

Very fast current, very poor visibility. Previous day rain and squalls.

Mick could not equalise and let go of the line, only to see the buoy on the surface wizz by causing him to swim like mad to catch up!

At one stage the current was so strong it almost took two hands to hang onto the line. Mick estimates we were doing about 8 knots.

Because of the poor visibility, and poor buoyancy control when surprised by a rock face, I found myself heading towards the surface a few times, dragging Benita up. But managed to get it back under control.
