| In preparation for an SDI Wreck Diving course, in December 2007 I purchased an OMS Primary Safety Reel with 100 metres (330 feet) of 2.3 mm (.09 inch) nylon line. This OMS reel is well known for its reliability and comes with a life-time warranty. I've been told it will make an excellent wreck penetration diving reel. Details: * Spool O.D. - 114 mm (4.5 inch) * Spool Width I.D. - 57 mm (2.25 inch) * Line Material - Nylon * Line Diameter - .09 inch * Line Legth - 100 metres (330 feet) * Line Tensile Stength - 300 lbs. Features * Removable, red anti-fouling nest that prevents line reel jams (bird nesting). * Constructed from glass reinforced Nylon * The ergonomically designed winding knob prevents hand fatigue * The flat profile lock down nut assembly has been re-engineered to make better contact with the spool edge. * Electropolished stainless steel frames incorporate a TIG welded stainless 5/16" spool bolt for unsurpassed strength! * Engineered for cold water glove and bare hand use. |
