| The Batu Kelebit dive site, is near Tulamben, Bali, just past the Palung-Palung dive site, a bit further around the volcanic spur from Tulamben Bay. Access is typically by boat (jukung) from Tulamben Bay. Batu Kelebit is a series of steep, coral covered ridges separated by sand channels. The coral is rich and healthy anf the underwater topography is interesting. The steep ridges protect the site from the worst of the current. It should be difficult to get lost here as all of the ridges lead back to the same place. Batu Kelebit features two large submerged pinnacles that rise from a sandy bottom at around 40 meters, reaching up to shallower reef areas of 18-20 meters. These pinnacles are covered in vibrant coral formations, including hard and soft corals, sea fans, and sponges. See also: https://www.michaelmcfadyenscuba.info/viewpage.php?page_id=1077 |
