| Riko Riko Cave (aka Tawhiti Rah and Rikiriki Cave) is located on Aorangi Island (West) in the Poor Knights Islands, New Zealand. t's known for being the world's largest sea cave by volume. The cave was formed by a gas bubble from an eruption millions of years ago. Riko Riko Cave measures 130 by 80 metres (430 by 260 ft), with a ceiling height of 35 metres (115 ft) and extends 26 metres (85 ft) deep below water. The GP coordinates are for the entrance to the cave. To dive the site you would typically anchor to the east of the entrance. The main dive here consists of entering and exploring Riko Riko Cave itself. Blue Maomao often shelter in the shallows and rays cruise across the entrance. Exploring the wall outside of the cave to the east also makes for an interesting dive. It provides a burst of colour in contrast to the darkness of the cave. Max Depth 30m For safety, avoid the centre of the cave near the rear section. If you have to surface while inside the cave it's best to do so near a wall.
