| Beautifully hidden away within an old seven acre coconut plantation south of Dumaguete, on the island of Negros, in the Philippines, Atmosphere Resort enjoys a spectacular beach front location. From this luxury boutique resort and PADI dive centre, it's easy to explore some of the world’s best scuba diving in the Philippines. This includes the world-renowned Apo Island with its walls, stunning coral and schooling fish just a short boat ride away. Take a few steps from Atmosphere Resort and you’ll enter one of the largest marine sanctuaries in Dauin, Philippines. the house reef is more than just a standard shore dive, it's home to a huge diversity of marine life, with plenty to hold your attention over multiple dives. Some of the world’s rarest critters compete for the muck diving underwater photographer’s attention along the Dauin coastline near Dumaguete, where Atmosphere Resort is situated. I can highly recommend using your rest day before leaving to go and see whale sharks up close in Oslob and swim with the biggest fish on this planet! You get there from Atmosphere in an air-conditioned van by land up to Dumaguete, followed by a short ferry trip across to Oslob, the total travel time being around 2 hours. From the beach in Oslob, you step into a smaller boat and go snorkelling with the whale sharks. |
