I took quite a while to actually get a completely foolproof theory. I went from addition to subtraction to exponents to factorials and then a mixture.
Eventually I l was to look at it like an actual image and achieved eventual satisfaction.

After a couple hours where I eventually resorted to recording the results of 40 rolls in an excel spreadsheet, to manipulate and examine trends... and this is the answer in the end??
