I did not know that there was a fraternity for Petals Around the Rose, or I would have been a member in 1985!
This was a favorite puzzle that I used to stump third and fourth graders who were ahead in math. I was always "a cruel and heartless wretch", and frustrated a lot kids because I wouldn't give clues or tell them the secret.
Nice to join the "in crowd", better late than never!
