So I did a few rolls to begin with, looking for some sort of pattern with the colors of the die, or the numbers or some sort of mix of the two. Then I read the description a few times, tried again. *AROUND*
Good game.

Did 6 rolls, got one right by blind guessing. Re-read the description, rolled again and it instantly clicked.
Took me 8 dice rolls in total to get it. Nice puzzle, it's one of those you get or you don't I guess.

I really appreciate the read on Bill Gates' experience to give me the answer. <3

4 year Computer Science back was not necessary for this. The Bill Gates anecdote is a good read.

The description tells you how to solve the puzzle. It's as they say, the devil is in the details.

Just proves how people tend to overengineer solutions to simple problems.

A great spot to start is seeking via the telephone directory, telephone book or looking on Google or Yahoo.

That would be the style of thought process that you all share in common! Not everyone shares the same thought process... so others may take a little longer... but given the right riddle/brain-teaser/allegory; they would surpass your family, all while you become frustrated with the whole endeavor.
