This is a truly amazing puzzle. I tried about 5 rolls, then solved it when I tried to turn off the left side of my brain. I am proud to join the fraternity.

for the first few minutes I was trying +,-,*,\,%, averaging it, everything. And then I thought a bit about the name and got it after the next five or so minutes.

I was making this puzzel way too complicated when i first tried it. I was throwing muliplication and division into it and when I finally figured it out, it seemed so retarded. LOL. I love this puzzel and I'm sharing it with all of my friends...(not the answer of course)
