I love that mind trick. I posted it in my math class before class on the board, and for a warm up problem my math teacher asked us to solve it (not realizing it wasnt a pattern/equation/algorithm) and had the whole math class trying to answer it analytically. The teacher went nuts trying to get it, and wasted a whole class, but she got it during class the next day.

Mmmm at first I was thinking too mathematically- like add the odd numbered dice, subtract the sum of the even numbered ones, and multiply by two. But I got it after a while
