Thanks for sharing Petals Around The Rose with us! I first heard about it in a popular science magazine, but I didn't really feel like looking it up and trying it. Somehow, while browsing the web, I stumbled upon your website and gave it a try. After approximately 15 minutes I suddenly saw the significance of the name... I really like puzzles and this feels like a really special one, because of the terms that go with understanding it... So, thanks for sharing it with us!

First saw this game at another site which did not give the additional information "The name of the game is important. The computer will roll five dice and ask you to guess the score for the roll. The score will always be zero or an even number."
without these additional clues, the solution is more problematic - but still simple once seen. wink

Nice!
It took me 20 minutes to guess what's going on.
Now all my friend try themselves in figuring this feature out.

Duh..took me a little while to believe in the signifigance of the name!

I enjoyed the 30-35 minutes it took me to catch on. Now, if I could just figure out how to make my own operating system.....and sell it. smile

Wow. Took me a bit to get the idea, but lots of fun. Will have to pass it on to my friends. Thanks for a great diversion.
